Lakenheath occurs as village within Suffolk, United Kingdom.
RAF Lakenheath These are hard to underestimate a social impact on Lakenheath, & indeed any of the towns and villages inside many miles, of the USAF fighter airbase and its nearby sister, RAF Mildenhall. the United States has maintained a presence in the community since bombers were stationed there when you took WWII conducting raids in Europe. the base has a people of around 7000 service personnel (Mildenhall is unknown.) This doesn't account for non-combatant personnel & families. When you took the mid-eighties there was a peace camp outside RAF Lakenheath. Presently, there are many squadrons of F-15 fighters & their support and maintence personnel stationed there.
